Abstract

This paper explains leadership, identifies individuals as leaders and highlights contemporary leadership traits. Further, some influencers of the political governance, knowledge and civilization domains identified as Abraham Lincoln, Isaac Newton and Alexander the Great respectively have been emphasized. Most importantly, the various strategies and leadership styles adopted by these exceptional personalities have been discussed. Finally, the paper concludes that effective leadership requires self-awareness, attention to the environment and self-sacrifice.
