Abstract

Interactive maps have revolutionized the way we visualize and analyze spatial data, offering dynamic, user-friendly interfaces that enhance navigation, decision-making, and data exploration. This research explores the principles, technologies, and applications of interactive maps, highlighting their role in fields such as urban planning, environmental monitoring, and tourism, it also explores the design and functionality. We examine key development frameworks, user interaction techniques, and challenges such as real-time data integration and usability. It evaluates key technologies—including Geographic Information Systems (GIS), web-based frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, Mapbox), and user-centered design principles—that enhance interactivity and accessibility Through a case study, we demonstrate the effectiveness of interactive maps in improving spatial awareness and engagement. Our findings underscore the growing importance of interactive maps in data-driven decision-making and future technological advancements.
