Abstract

Creating a dependable and skilled police force is essential for ensuring public safety and addressing concerns effectively. India lacks a police force of this calibre, as supported by concrete evidence from many committees, human rights commissions, media reports, and firsthand experiences of residents who have witnessed crimes. It is widely acknowledged that the police force is in dire need of essential reforms.
